Budget Vs Blowout!

NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder

£2.49 Super drug

I think loose powder is a MUST! It sets your makeup. It holds it in place. It makes your makeup last longer. It absorbs moisture from your face giving it a shine free look and it gives you a really flawless look. I can't live without loose face powder and i always use the colour translucent. This is the product i have been using for the past two months now. I have honestly had no complaints what so ever. It is ace. It does the job. It comes with a sponge aplicator which i don't actually use. I use a powder brush. (We shall come to that) It has been fab.

Illamasqua -Colour : LP010

£19.50 from selfridges

Now today i was in selfridges and i came across Illamasqua's loose powder. I was curious how different the two actually would be. I have to say i was pretty impressed with this powder. I did automatically notice the difference in texture as this powder was much softer and lighter. It makes your face appear bright yet it blends in perfectly.
I just had to buy it

"Holds your makeup in place while you hold everyones attention"

Conclusion: I love my NYC powder as it has never given me any complaints and is an ace value for money. I would highly recommend it however if your willing to spend a little more then illamasqua loose powder is fab too.

Now the next item we came across was the Illamasqua
powder brush. Mahaim was INSTANTLY IN LOVE. It was for £36.00 from selfridges and it was the softest and most luxurious brush you will ever use. It was PERFECT for applying loose powder.

Then we went to superdrug where we found this GOSH powder brush for £9.99. It was soft but obviously not as beautifully soft as the illamasqua one. However it was quite good value for the price and it was exceptionally soft. It did the job and it was thrown into the shopping basket.

Conclusion: If you have a few extra pennies to your name then the Illamasqua powder brush is a MUST! However the gosh one is a pretty good second choice.

Hope this helped ladies.

Which ones would you chose? What do you think of the items?

Budget Vs Blowout!!!

Whats the Time? Its Time for a change!

Blowout!!!!

Okay so i thought i would blog about this watch that i just bought online just now to share all my excitement. My previous watch was a DKNY stone/diamond type bracelet watch which i got as a 19th Birthday present. Well a year of swimming, showering and whatever else i might have done to loosen many of the stones which consequently fell out i figured it's time to say my Good-byes. So i went onto ASOS and picked this one out which is very different to my previous watch which was very girly and elegant. This one is a boyfriend style watch. I LOVE this watch as it is bold yet sophisticated. Its for £115!

                               Budget!!!!

This one which i found was so similar in every way from the strap to the chronograph details. They both have the gold- tone indexes and a croc textured leather strap with the pin buckle fastening.

I actually asked my friend before i bought the watch and he thought i had gone completely stark raving mad for buying the more expensive one as this one looked exactly the same to him.

This watch costs £25 from ASOS and if you have an NUS card you also get 20% off. WIN - WIN for you Budget Babes out there.

So you and your bank balance can look good!!
