Detox Your Wardrobe!!!

Hiii Beautiful Dollss!!!!!!

So I have been cleaning my whole entire room out for the past two days,I mean I was up until half two in the morning yesterday but there is still lots to do!!

It totally inspired me to do a post on how to detox/De-clutter your wardrobe,I thought I would share my tips on how I successfully achieve this,I cant promise that you won't be heart broken by the end of it!

Seeing four filled bin liners of clothes ready to be whizzed out does sometimes hurt!!

Firstly the average detox takes around 3-4 hours depending on how big your wardrobe is,so make sure you are in the mood to do some real sorting!!
A clean clear detoxed wardrobe is a happy one,and that makes a happy you!!!

The idea is to empty the WHOLE wardrobe out and start from the right hand side and take each piece and try it on.Ask yourself:

Do you have any thing to go with it? Do you feel confident in it?
Is it still in fashion? Does it flatter you and show off your figure well?
Does the colour lift you and make you glow? Does it fit?
Is it giving the message you wish to convey?

Followed by this create three captions you can use "The Good, The Bad or The Ugly" Accordingly put the clothes in which ever section you feel it goes in.

Personally this is what I use:

YES/ NO/ MAYBE
The Yes: YAY I WANT IT..IT WILL PROBABLY STAY WITH ME FOR LIFE :D :D

The No: ERRRR WAS I ON CRACK WHEN I BOUGHT THIS? (for the record we do not and never have taken any drugs, whats wrong with a bit of humour ay?)

The Maybe: Ok now this can get difficult. If I'm really stuck then I say to myself "IF IN DOUBT THROW IT OUT!!!"

This method can be used for everything:
Products

Accessories

Finally when you have made the decision on what needs whizzing out, again split into Three sections:

EBAY/ CHARITY/ NOT WORTH IT

EBAY: this is the stuff you bought when you were in the "moment of madness" maybe cause it was on sale?or cause you saw it in a magazine? these are things which are either new still sat with the tag or things you have worn once! There were days when we were not working and both of us would put our clothes on eBay and make fairly good money out of it!! Before I do put things on eBay,I show this section of clothes to my friends first in case they would like anything, swapping clothes with friends honestly keeps you going for ages!!!Me and Mahaim would have one day in the month where we would swap clothes and when we would come home with the bag,it would feel like we had been shopping...the best bit....OUR BANK BALANCE STILL LOOKING HEALTHY :D

Charity: Now these could be the things that have been worn a couple of times still in good condition.

Not Worth It: This would be clothes that have maybe lost colour in the wash?rips? burns? basically items which cannot be mending or recycled in any way.

Finally take all the clothes from the "YES" section and hang them into the wardrobe. Then organise everything into colours as this will help you put together outfits in the mornings. You should have lots of lovely space between the hangers now and you should now have a clear wardrobe. You know what to put with what. Everything fits and the best thing is that you can now wear everything and look wonderful.

And well done! Shedding the demons of your wardrobe is never easy and letting go of clothes even if they were real leather, expensive garments you've only worn once or sentimental pieces will liberate you and free up valuable space in your cupboard for new exciting flattering clothes that represent yourself and make you feel fabulous about you!
