Hope you are all well..
Todays blog post is going to be about mac products, many people including myself have either fallen into this trap or atleast considered it, I wouldnt blame anyone for doing so cause honestly they look SO similar!!
However some people dont think fakes are a problem. But the main problem here or the risk is that you have no idea where the product was made, the ingredients, and where its from. Did you know that when the ingredients were researched it was found that fakes consisted of phtalate and coal tar :O now that is dangerous!! But this is not the only issue, you have no idea where the money is being vend to, and obviously this is ILLEGAL!
So for your benefit and peace of mind below are photos hightling the real and fakes ones, its like playing spot the difference :)
The First Rule If it sounds to good to be true then it probably IS!
This is the brush roll that I purchased from Ebay
it contains 8 brushes.
Comes in a "leather" case where each brush can be stored. At the first glimpse this brush set seems rather legit right?
Now lets have a real closer look..
Firstly lets begin with the packaging
-Cheap material
-Acrlyic fabric which would not be easy to wash
-Fake MAC logo
Real Mac logo spot the difference?
Brush : MAC 150 brush
Okay so the brush on the left is the fake brush and the one on the right is authentic.
First instant reaction real handle on the brush is longer then the fake.
Right authentic left fake..
Notice how the place where the handle meets the brush hold.. the rounded silver holders are emphasised.
The most important tip you need to identify the differences is the MAC logo that gives it a way on the very first glimpse whether its eye shadow palette, pigments, blushers, brushes, lipsticks observe the MAC logo.
So can you spot the diffrence between the two? below are a couple of pictures of MAC products can you spot which ons are real and which ones are fake?
Finally a major give a way is the price lets have a look at both price diffrences:
-8 pc Brush set Fake £29.99 Real £65.00
-Lipstick Fake £3.99 Real £13.50
-Blusher Fake £9.00 Real £17.00
-Powder Fake £12.50 Real £17.50
So I hope I have equipped you in being Sherlock Holmes when it comes to MAC makeup ;)
One thing to remember is that if MAC is being sold online then be extra careful always pay through paypal as you have a better chance of getting your money back and check the sellers feedback ratings.
Also if MAC is being sold in a market or by a person who has no makeup background then it is definatly a no-go you'd rather be safe then sorry...
I hope this helped...
Take Care Cause We Care <3
