Outfit Of The Day.. Ft Henna & Lots Of Fun :)

Hey Hey Dolls!!!!!

So It's my beautiful cousins wedding this weekend, so as you have probably noticed I upload my blog posts really really late this is because the whole week I have been preparing for what we call the Royal Atcha Wedding :P

I thought I'd upload this blog post giving you a sneek preview of the henna/mehndi party which took place last night, but because we got into late and I wa shattered from all the fun I totally hit the bed!

History

The origin of this classic design probably sprung up in the desert areas of Rajasthan, Punjab and Gujarat. The story goes that people living in the Thar Desert coated their hands and feet with a paste made from crushed henna leaves. They noticed that as long as the colour held, their body temperature remained low. The women soon wearied of monotonous reddish-brown palms and experimented with a single central dot and several smaller dots. That small innovation opened the creative floodgates—resulting in the complexity of henna designs today.

Henna was a traditional folk art, and in some cases henna actually replaced jewellery for families that couldn’t afford jewellery as gifts, so the henna designs sometimes emulated bangles and rings.
Another legend has to do with the groom finding his initials in the mehndi design: "If the groom is unsuccessful in finding the initials he gives his bride some token. It also means that the bride will be the dominant one in the marriage."

My Outfit: Please excuse the quality it was taken on my Iphone

I wore very bright and vibrant colours because this represents the traditional theme of the Henna/Mehndi.My hair was very simple..I created a platt above my fringe and then half my hair in a boufannt, straightend the rest of it,grip pinned it to the side and VIOLA (literally ten mins)!!!

Stage/Parcels:

Entertainment: Just A Sneek Peak ;) Adeel & The Boys did a medley of a variety of songs this was just a short clip of one of them!they sure did a good job and the audience loved it to!

Hope You Enjoyed It..

But for now there is loads to do as the wedding is tomorrow!!
